Sawyer

Being in the presence of a 19.0 hh percheron draft horse who is simply the gentlest giant you will ever meet, changes you. He was rescued from shipping to slaughter and was over 250 pounds underweight; his ribs, pelvis, topline and hips all protruded out. His recovery and weight gain journey took months. When he was of a healthy enough weight he made the long journey from TX to UT which is when everything changed. We discovered Canker in one of his hooves. He was hospitalized and they worked on him daily. After a full debridement they looked at the others and saw it was in all four hooves. A horse of his size and weight needs to be able to stand comfortably. With broken hearts, we had to say goodbye to Sawyer."}]}]}
